Dallas International Music Festival and Competition

Presented annually in the vibrant Dallas Arts District.

Every year in June, the Dallas Chamber Symphony hosts the Dallas International Music Festival and Competition, which in successive years, focuses on pianists, and violinists. The annual event is comprised of two separate, but concurrently running parts; 1) an international “Pro” competition for classically trained performers aged 18 to 30 (inclusive) who are ready to launch a solo career, and 2) a “Youth” festival of performances and masterclasses for those aged 14 to 17 (inclusive) and residing in North Texas, who have reached an advanced level of performance on their instrument.

In 2025, the festival and competition will focus on violin, and be held as follows:

Application Opens: November, 1 2024 at 12:00 a.m. (central)
Application Deadline: December 15, 2024 at 11:59 pm (central)
Events in Dallas: June 11-17, 2025

Performers who are interested in participating in either the competition or the youth masterclasses can review the entry conditions, and additional details about the competition rounds in the regulations for their respective program. The application and preliminary audition process for each program will be completed entirely online.
