Late Seating Policy
We strive to provide an uninterrupted and enjoyable concert experience for all guests. As such, our late seating policy is as follows.
Venue Management
The Dallas Chamber Symphony often operates at venues it does not own, and therefore relies upon independently managed venue staff to administer this late seating policy. Late seating opportunities are communicated by DCS management to venue staff prior to each performance cycle, and announced by the DCS production manager to venue staff as they occur, during each performance, via closed-circuit radio. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to ensure an excellent concert experience for all.
Arrival Time
Please allow approximately 30 minutes to park, pick up your tickets, and if you wish, purchase drinks in the lobby before the performance. The inner theater doors will close at the concert start time.
Late Arrivals
Patrons arriving at the venue after the inner theater doors have been closed will not be seated immediately. Latecomers will be seated at a designated pause in the program, such as during an appropriate musical break or intermission, as determined by the conductor and venue management. Late seating may be quite limited during programs without an intermission or other appropriate pause.
Entry Points
Ushers may direct latecomers to enter through specific doors or seating areas to minimize disturbance. It may not be possible for latecomers to be seated in the row and seat specified on their ticket.
Exceptions
If possible, some performances, including those without pauses, may have special moments where late seating can be accommodated with minimal disruption, but these are rare and will be at the discretion of venue management.
Re-entry
We understand patrons may need to step out of the theater during a performance. Patrons are welcome to leave at any time, but will be permitted re-entry only during designated pauses in the program. Re-entry opportunities may be quite limited during programs without an intermission or other appropriate musical pause. Re-entrants are permitted to return to their original seats and rejoin their party.
No Refunds
Please note that refunds or exchanges will not be provided for latecomers or re-entrants who miss part of the performance.
