The Dallas Chamber Symphony performs amongst the city’s most renowned arts organizations in the heart of the Arts District. Located just across the street from the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, Wyly Theatre, and Winspear Opera House, and with a seating capacity of 750, the Moody Performance Hall is the ideal size and location for the friendly, fun and intimate concert experiences the DCS provides.
Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in collaboration with Corgan Associates, Moody Performance Hall boasts a modern design that is both striking to look at and smartly functional, capable of an array of configurations that allow for comfort, convenience and an optimal concert experience. Inside the theater audiences will enjoy a warm ambience and superb acoustics designed by Schuler Shook and Jaffe Holden. The hall was completed in 2012 and is operated by the City of Dallas, Office of Arts and Culture.
In addition to the theater space, there are several comfortable common areas that are well suited for private receptions, presentations, musical demonstrations, and meet-and-greet opportunities with visiting artists. The lobby is designed to seat audiences for pre-concert presentations, and our guests can enjoy professional catering, convenient parking, and valet services provided by the One Arts Plaza.
In addition to the theater space, there are several comfortable common areas with ample seating that are ideal for presentations, musical demonstrations, and meet-and-greet opportunities with visiting artists. There are also several event spaces which may be cordoned off for private receptions. The lobby opens 90 minutes before each event’s start time, and closes 30 minutes after each event’s conclusion.
Concessions are operated in the lobby by Culinaire. Dallas Chamber Symphony does not receive income from food and beverage sales. Drinks are welcome inside the theater during our concerts.
Complimentary coat check is offered in our venue lobby behind the box office during inclement weather.
Restrooms are located on the east and west hallways on either side of the main theater on both levels. Family restrooms are located on the balcony level. All restrooms are American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant.
An ATM is located in the lower level east hallway nearest Routh Street.
